Are business energy prices finally starting to fall?

By 25 May 2022June 14th, 2023No Comments1 min read

The price of energy has skyrocketed, notably in late 2021. Several events, such as the Covid-19 pandemic, tensions in Ukraine and a fire at a one of Britain’s most important power cables created the perfect storm for soaring prices. In the last few months, energy prices have been dramatically high. However, GO Low Carbon has spotted signs that this may be changing.

One major supplier announced a 10% decrease on their 1-year fixed electricity tariff and 14% on gas. This may be a sign of more stability in the market, which will hopefully partially ease the financial burden placed on businesses due to the energy crisis. It also highlights the importance of planning long-term energy purchases so you are not needlessly wasting money on energy when it is at its highest cost. GO Low Carbon can help you plan ahead and manage your contract.

If you have an energy contract up for renewal in the next 12 months, get in touch to stay up to date with changes to the energy market and how they affect your business.
