Growing up on edge of the Lake District, I always had a passion for nature. After gaining a degree in Environmental Science, I’ve spent the last 15 years helping businesses reduce their impact on our shared planet.
It’s fantastic that the recent surge in interest in the human impact on global warming has created an engaged and passionate group, looking to make positive changes to avoid a climate crisis. But with so much misinformation available online it’s all too easy to turn well-meaning into ineffective action.
Our aim at GO Low Carbon is to cut through the carbon jargon and support businesses of all shapes and sizes on their journey towards a low carbon future, not just larger enterprises that can afford to employ a dedicated sustainability officer.
While most businesses would like to understand and manage their business’s carbon footprint, a lack of time and budget constraints limit effectiveness. Our goal is to educate and advise busy business owners while providing a service that allows them to engage in carbon reduction without taking them away from their day-to-day activities or breaking the bank.

Our goal is to guide, educate and empower every one of our customers in their carbon reduction journey. The way we see it, the more you come to understand the easier it is to instil positive environmental habits throughout your business.
As a result of our work
In the last 12 months alone, 70% of our clients made the switch to carbon-neutral energy and reduced their carbon emissions by 8.3 million kilograms, equivalent to taking 4,500 cars off the road or planting 395,000 trees!

We absolutely practice what we preach. We’ve built Go Low Carbon’s entire operation to a net zero status – here’s how:
- Solar panels generate our electricity
- A biomass boiler heats our office
- We work on a 100% green energy tariff
- Plenty of our staff work from home removing commuting emissions
All in all our carbon footprint was just 4.6 tonnes last year – and we made sure that was offset too!
